AUDITIONS

CASTING THE ADULT/TEEN ROLES & ENSEMBLE FOR THE FULL PRODUCTION OF MATILDA THE MUSICAL

In-Person Auditions

To be held October 27 & 29, at select times below. All auditions are comprised of two parts: an individual singing and reading from the script. Call backs are being held November 10th. 

​

Location

Locations will be in Oakville with majority happening at our studio and one location TBD. Final location will be sent with your audition confirmation.

 

Specific dates are:

Sunday October 27: 10:00am - 1:00pm

Tuesday October 29: 6:00pm -10:00pm

 

Callbacks and Dance Call

Sunday, November 10:  10am -12:30pm

 

Individual auditions slots are ten minutes each and must be booked in advance. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your audition time.

Please dress comfortably and familiarize yourself with the play and its characters in advance

 

For the audition:

Please prepare a 2-5 minute song. Any musical or song from the show is fine. Those auditioning as ensemble can prepare one, contemporary song if more comfortable. Please bring a copy of your sheet music or a track to play.

​

  • You may also be asked to do a cold read of the text.

Miss Agatha Trunchbull

The tyrannical headmistress at Matilda's school who despises children.

Matilda's kindhearted teacher. She is tired of living in fear under Miss Trunchbull.

Mr. Wormwood

Matilda's uncaring father. A slimy, greedy used-car salesman.
